Our Staff

Yariv Lapid, Director of the Center for Humanistic Education
Yariv studied history in Israel and Germany, and worked for NGOs that deal with various conflicts within Israeli society. He went on to head the European Department at the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem. After leaving Yad Vashem, he set up a research group at the Van Leer Institute. In the years 2007–2013 he established and managed the education department at the Mauthausen Memorial in Austria.

Katef Murad Salame, Deputy Director of the Center for Humanistic Education
Katef holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science and a master's degree in political science from Haifa University. She is a graduate of the Mandel School for Educational Leadership and a lecturer at Oranim College. For ten years she oversaw media studies programs for Arab schools at the Ministry of Education. Katef directs group dialogue facilitation, teaching and didactics, media and gender studies.

Dr. David Netzer, Director of Pedagogical Programming
As Chief Editor for the educational program, David is the pedagogical guide for facilitators. He coordinates teacher training courses in Israel and abroad and is a lecturer for groups from abroad. He holds a PhD in education.
